FAST FUELING SYSTEMS
Wiggins Service Systems

COME BACK
FAST FUELING SYSTEMS
Wiggins Fast Refueling System improves enterprise efficiency and safety by reducing machine maintenance time with faster, cleaner and safer refueling.

FAST

Wiggins Fast Refueling System reduces the time of refueling at least 5 times, thereby reducing the time for maintenance of equipment. The system fills a full tank of a dump truck with a capacity of 2900 liters in just 5 minutes. While conventional nozzles are capable of delivering fuel at a rate of 94.5 l / min, Wiggins system performs refueling at a speed of 570 l / min. This means that you save at least 25 minutes for each refueling, or 1 hour of working time of a dump truck per day, or 30 hours per month!

CLEAN

Interlock feature prevents spills from disconnecting nozzle during fueling. Positive shut off – cannot be overfilled, shut – off cannot be overridden. Unique cam-lock nozzle attachment assures a leak – proof seal between nozzle and receiver.

SAFE

Most mounting configurations allow fueling to be completed while operator stands on the ground. Reduces risk of worker injury due to slips and falls. System is fully vented to atmosphere at all times – no pressure in tank.

"FAST FUEL" SYSTEM

WIGGINS FAST FUEL SYSTEM “dry connection” automatic shut-off

This "fast fuel" system is based on the simple concept of using a sealed vehicle tank to allow a small amount of back pressure to build up and automatically shut off the nozzle. A receiver in mounted on the tank, located near the bottom. Bottom filling helps eliminate foaming which can occur during top fueling "splash fill".

The Wiggins ZZ9A1 nozzle is attached to the receiver, the handle is turned to the "ON" position, and fuel begins to fill the fuel tank at a rate up to 150 gallons per minute. As fuel enters the tank, it forces the air inside the tank to exit through the Wiggins vent. When the fuel level nears the top of the tank, the "hollow floating balls" force the third "solid ball" to seal against the vent "stem", sealing the tank and stopping the air flow out of the tank. As fuel continues to flow, pressure inside the tank builds until it reaches 8 to 10 PSIG, then the nozzle automatically shuts off.

NON‐PRESSURIZING SYSTEM

The Wiggins JNX non‐pressurizing system allows for automatic diesel refueling at up to 211 gpm (800 lpm) with Wiggins ZZ9A1 and ZZ9A2 fuel nozzles and does not pressurize the fuel tank.

The Wiggins JNX system represents a technological leap forward in non‐pressurizing automatic diesel refueling systems. The JNX system uses conventional pressure‐sensitive fuel nozzles such as the Wiggins ZZ9A1 and ZZ9A2 while providing users with unique FAIL‐SHUT and OVERFILL‐RESISTANT features not matched by the competition.

The Wiggins JNX shutoff valve is FAIL‐SHUT: the spring‐closed main valve can only be opened by a pressure signal from the jet level sensor – if for any reason the pressure signal is lost, the main valve will close, shutting off the flow of fuel into the tank. This ensures that overfilling the tank is not possible even if any part of the jet level sensor or signal hose were to fail.

The unique Wiggins jet level sensor does not have any moving parts to wear out and is thus extremely reliable. The Wiggins non‐pressurizing system uses only external signal hoses, making JNX easy to install and maintain.

The JNX system is available in both direct and remote fill configurations.
